SUMMARY:
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with great work ethic and a willingness to learn to help us with our Monday-Friday operations. As a potential candidate, you would be required to assist us in our sewing department of our manufacturing facility, where you would assist us with:
DUTIES:
- Being a team player in helping build and maintain a great work environment
- Assist in measuring, cutting and sewing upholstery materials for commercial and residential projects
- Assist in making new patterns and providing insight on new ideas
- Match fabric repeats for sewing different styles of furniture
- Incorporate new projects and repairs in daily and weekly schedules
- Follow project schedules and maintain consistent inventory lists
- Maintain and clean workstation and equipment regularly
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a great attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn
- Must possess fluent English speaking and writing skills
- Must be physically fit and capable of working with industrial sewing machines
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to read a tape measure and perform calculations efficiently
- Previous experience using industrial sewing machines and hand tools is an asset
- Any fabric or upholstery knowledge is an asset
