Village of Dysart seeks Public Works and Utilities Foreman

The Village of Dysart invites applications for the position of Foreman of Public Works and Utilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipal water and wastewater system, transportation department and public properties.
The successful candidate should have several years of experience in a supervisory position, organized, able to work with minimal supervision. The foreman should be able to operate a tractor, street sweeper, snow blower and lawn care equipment and capable to perform minor mechanical repairs and have good mechanical aptitude. Public works experience, administrative skills, strong communication/interpersonal skills and a positive attitude would be considered assets.
Candidates must possess a Grade 12 or equivalent, a valid class 5 drivers licence, a Small Water and Wastewater systems certification and experience, or be willing to obtain the necessary certification, and must be physically capable of doing the job. Candidate must also be able to work independently and will be required to work closely with village administration and council to coordinate daily operations as required.
