Description

Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Department is now inviting applications for 1 Temporary Part Time, Personal Care Worker, to work at the Elder Catherine Charles Long Term Care Home (ECCLTCH) located in Bells Point, La Ronge. This facility is a 24 hour, 365 day facility that provides Level 1, 2 & 3 Care to residents admitted into the facility. The ideal candidate will be required to provide services to the residents of the ECCLTCH.

Duties:
- Apply knowledge-based programs in collaboration with the client and other health care professionals;
- Must be able to provide home management, personal care and respite assistance to clients;
- Use skills and interventions to meet the physical, social/cultural, emotional and spiritual needs of the client.
- Must be able to clearly document and maintain comprehensive resident records.
- Ability to work modified work schedule of 12 hour shifts, days, nights and weekends throughout the year.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or designate;

Qualifications:
- Personal Care or Continuing Care Certificate; Previous home or acute care experience preferred;
- Valid First Aid/CPR, Safe Food Handling & WHIMIS certifications are an asset;
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with the ECCLTCH Team;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Must have a Valid Class 5 Driver's License;
- Working knowledge with First Nations culture, and the ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset;
- Security Clearance: Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Record Check and Driver's Abstract required upon hire;

Salary/Wage:     $ 14.457 to 16.271 per hour (depending on Education and Experience).
