Job Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items and approval from requisitioning department
Follow up with purchased items by forwarding purchase orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders
Purchase planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, summarizing data and trends
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the entire sales team by approving weekly reports and expense reports
Able to monitor key trends in the market for price negotiation
Monitor and analyze GPS reports for sales team
Accountability
Responsible for ordering accurate items and negotiating the best price
Follow up with all the purchase orders

Education and work experience Requirements
Education
Must have High School diploma
Bachelors degree in Business administration or in any other related field in preferred
SCMP designation is strongly considered
Work Experience
Must have two to three years of work experience as a purchaser
Prior experience dealing with purchasing chemical products is preferred
Familiar with Sage 300 is an asset
Training for this position
Training will be provided, where candidates will learn price negotiation, current market trends, and software skills to full fill this position
