Description

I.    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Responsible for reporting to the Department Manager to perform process studies, process modeling, and detailed process engineering, applying an understanding of pulp production to develop and improve process reliability, quality, cost and safety

II.    SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:
    Lead work to improve production process projects in the pulp production from conception through commercialization
    Plan, install and start-up new equipment.
    Manage all process engineering activities
    Oversee development of process.  Improve and optimize existing processes on a daily basis
    Develop, implement, and  maintain process standards
    Insure QA/QC standards are met
    Manage resource loading for project requirements, and implement developmental plans for resources.  
    Defining and maintaining process standards for the company
    Coordinate weekly process resources with Project Managers
    QA/QC of process department deliverables
    Estimate process man hours for proposals
    Can manage change and resources for fast track projects
    Creates and  manages department budget
    Creates positive environment for subordinates
    Oversee operators and process technicians to develop, improve, and monitor key procedures.
    Provide technical experience in delivering systemic process improvement and also providing coaching on technical issues to internal operations and process teams
    Identify and oversee the troubleshooting of problems and resolve urgent reliability, quality, process or environmental issues.
