Job Summary:
The incumbent is accountable for the daily operation of the Regional Scheduling and Payroll Service providing scheduling and payroll advice andsupport in the region. The position is vital in the provision of efficient, consistent, and timely scheduling and payroll services to managers and staff.
All processes must meet legal requirements, collective bargaining requirements and region standards. The incumbent will relieve the duties of the Manager within the Scheduling and Payroll Services in their absence, as required. Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years combined direct scheduling, payroll and benefits experience. Minimum of two (2) years direct accounting experience ispreferred. Experience with Gateway Online, iHRIS and ESP Workforce preferred.
Required Qualifications
Business Diploma from a recognized Post Secondary Institution
Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification from the CPA or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to analyze complex situations and environments and produce workable and practical solutions
Ability to work independently as well as with committees and teams
Advanced computer skills
Excellent organizational abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high attention to detail
Other Information
Ability to travel and have access to a personal vehicle
Willingness to work flexible hours and days and to accommodate meetings and events outside of regular working hours
