Duties:
-To promote the sale and the use of Co-op Propane
-To provide customer service to all retail personnel, customers, and co-workers in a helpful and respectful manner, and refer any concerns to the supervisor for action
-Under the direct supervision of a qualified service technician, assist in completing installations and service work on propane equipment. (May work unsupervised on service work that does not require a gas license to complete)
-Participate as required in any gasfitter training courses or programs and work towards achieving the necessary gas license needed to complete propane service and installations on equipment up to 400, 000 BTU's.
-Assist in completing annual maintenance checks on all required commercial and filling plant locations. Record and deficiencies found and assist in completing any repairs required to ensure facilities are safe and conform to all regulations and codes.
-The operation and service of truck cranes while following applicable standards during rigging, loading, securing and transporting of tanks and other equipment.
Qualifications:
-Must be prepared to travel or temporarily relocate if necessary to attend trade school as part of apprenticeship program.
-Must hold a valid Class 3 (with air endorsement) license and have a safe driving record.
-Must be in good health and be physically fit to perform all duties and responsibilities
-May be subject to pre-access Alcohol, Drug and Fitness testing for client groups.
Note:
-Preference will be given to individuals with propane industry experience
-Must be prepared to respond to emergency call outs on evenings and weekends on short notice
-Must participate in an On Call program implemented by supervisor to adequately service customer needs as required.
