Description

Position Title:        Dispenser
Department/Branch:    Clinic
Location:        Clinic
Hours of Work:        Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (may vary)
Reports to:        Sales Manager/Vice President
Supervises:        None

Overall Purpose:
The Dispenser role is to provide hearing aids and consistent quality service to our customers in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service
    Greets customers and makes them feel welcome
    Ensure individual adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
    Schedule appointments and use standard appointment times.

Consulting:
    Follows Connect Hearing Sales Process
    Conduct hearing tests
    Select and order appropriate hearing aids based on audiometric test results.  
    Able to present different hearing aid technologies in a clear and easily understood manner.
    As required, be able to administer pre and post hearing aid fitting assessment questionnaires such as APHAB.
    Perform Real Ear Measurements using real ear equipment.  
    Familiar with DSL i/o fitting protocols.
    Sound field evaluation of a hearing aid fitting
    Complete verification of hearing aids.
    Be able to determine and identify hearing instruments that are not functioning properly.
    Be able to select and provide appropriate loaner hearing instruments.
    Clean hearing instruments and perform minor repairs on hearing instruments which would include replacing:
o    tubings
o    battery doors
o    ear hooks
o    control covers
o    dampers
o    Physical and acoustic modifications of hearing instruments which would include:
o    enlarging or reducing vents
o    adjusting trimmers
o    grinding shells to improve fit and comfort
o    patching small holes
o    building up shells or earmolds
    Perform otoscopic examinations and be able to identify pathologies that require medical referral
