Description

The Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA), is seeking to fill a permanent full-time position - Advisor, Competence Assurance to facilitate the investigative process by:
Investigating allegations in written reports of professional incompetence or misconduct
Conducting preliminary investigations of professional incompetence or misconduct
Preparing and maintaining accurate documents and evidence to facilitate case management & decision making
Reporting findings of preliminary investigations & investigations to the Investigation Committee
Negotiating consensual resolution agreements with members & their legal counsel as directed by the Investigation Committee
Interpreting legislative requirements related to investigations
Providing consultation on the competence assurance process to members, employers and the public
Supporting the Investigations & other SRNA committees
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Current eligibility for registration with the SRNA
Masters degree & 7-10 years of current nursing experience in a variety of settings or roles
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills including critical thinking andconflict resolution
Knowledge & skill in conducting an investigation is desirable
Organizational skills, ability to effectively prioritize tasks, meet deadlines & manage programs/projects
High level of capability in areas of analysis, research & problem solving
Willing & able to adapt to the changing needs of a member-driven organization
Maintain confidentiality & other requirements inherent within the role of representing the SRNA
Applicant must be willing to complete a certified investigator training program supported by the SRNA.
