Description

Essence Recruitment is collaborating with Schulte Industries in its search for a Drafting Technologist to be located in Englefeld, near Humboldt. ROLE
Responsible for creating and maintaining technical publications relating to the assembly, operation and service of Schulte products
Responsible for managing the MRP and Product Database systems, offering support to all users
Responsible for drawing updates and revisions in both AutoCAD and SolidWorks  

DUTIES
Complete manual updates/changes, update CSV and Parts Images, update EParts website
Update SolidWorks/AutoCad drawings, TIFS, DXFs and JDE BOM/Route changes
Update serial numbers on parts and operations manuals in current operators manuals and EParts website
Write up change notices and fill out required documentation to communicate changes to production floor
Add new products to the system; Part numbers, BOMs and Routes in JDE, drawings, DXF and TIFS, assign part numbers and route times, create new manual pages and add them to EParts website and create new manuals
Assist production in current and future plant expansions; plant expansion drawings and assist with creating the best layout for the company

REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma from a recognized CAD program
Minimum 2 years experience in a drafting position in related industry
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, AutoCad, website maintenance, PDF editing)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to effectively communicate with various departments
Strong organization skills
Ability to effectively work in a team
Knowledge in MRP systems, specifically JDEdwards
