Job Description
Location:
20 minutes from the East side of Regina on Highway #1
3 km from the town of Balgonie
Skills/Experience
Dairy experience not required willing to train
Punctual
Ability to work independently to complete tasks
Ability to work in an efficient manor to complete tasks
Follow directions
Quiet and confident when handling cattle
Equivalent of Grade 10 education minimum
Valid drivers license
Working Conditions:
72 Cow tie stall barn built in 2000 currently milking 60 Holstein
cows.  Milk with 10 DeLaval Milking units on a track system
(milking time is 1.5 hours start-up to clean-up)
Duties related to the dairy operations:
Milking preparation (set-up and clean-up)
Milking with DeLaval milkers in tie-stall barn with track
system(milkers are pushed on a track like a garage door track no
lifting)Run barn cleaner and clean and bed alley way
Bedding stalls and stall grooming
Morning or evening feeding of milk to calves and pail wash up
Assist with morning clean-up in calf barn (20-30 minutes)


Working with owners or full time staff (not left unsupervised)
Work with a full time farm employees on occasion

Work Schedule:
Maximum of  15 mornings per month & 12 to 15 afternoons
Flexible to schedule various days of the week
Morning hours are 4:45 AM to 7:00 AM
Afternoon hours are 3:00 PM to 5:45 PM (some days will be
finished by 5:30 PM)
Equivalent to minimum of 60 hours per month to a maximum of
75 hours per month (12-20 Hours per week)
Potential fuel allowance for commuting
Willing to train any hard working person with a passion for working with livestock.
