Description

Snake Lake Group of Companies is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in our industry and the equipment we use. All trades are rated with a Level 1/2/3 that is based on years of experience and type of work performed. Remuneration based on experience; however, entry level JM HD Mechanic is $32.00 per hour with a full benefit package. Shift work at 11 hours per day, OT after 8hrs and after 40hrs
Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be gained through an apprenticeship program, Journeyman Heavy Duty, Red Seal Accreditation and years of experience. JM status would be an asset; however, we will consider a Year 3 or Year 4 Apprentice Mechanic.
Job Requirements
    Knowledge and background with Dozers / Loaders / Excavators / Rock trucks
    Experience with hydraulic installation and commissioning of heavy duty mobile equipment
    Ability or attitude to facilitate maintenance on our aggregate production equipment
    Ability to work on our heavy haul units and trailers
    Limited Automotive
    Proficient at reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals and have strong diagnostic skills
    Ability to work in a safe manner and willingness to fully understand our safety manual, polices & procedures
    Physically fit and can handle lifting up to 23kg (50lbs) safely
    Attention to details and complete each job to the highest standards
    Ability to work independently and as a team member
    Willingness to go for training

The following training is required for an entry Level 1. If you do not have, you must be willing to go for training.
    Valid Class 5 drivers license and added value for a Class 1A
    Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT)
    Level A First Aid
    Rigging and Hoisting
    Powered Mobile Equipment

The successful candidate must be willing to travel to some of our remote operation
The successful candidate shall be subject to a Drug and Alcohol test as a condition of employment
