Our Halbrite, SK branch (30 KM from Weyburn) is currently looking for an EHS Advisor 1 to help support our regional safety program.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people and have a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibility Area & Description
    Work with the EHS Advisor and EHS Lead to develop strong EHS professional skills
    Assists in the development of EHS strategies and implements corporate initiatives focusing on safety
    Act as a resource providing EHS support for line management and personnel within assigned area
    Develop/Implement EHS procedures for successful project completion
    Support, develop and deliver; EHS training
    Implement and communicate all necessary EHS strategies within assigned area
    Conduct routine EHS inspections (formal and non-formal) within assigned area of responsibility
    Monitors EHS performance, data/statistical reporting and trends for possible impacts on EHS performance
    Audit processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and consistency

Job Requirements  

    Microsoft Office
    JD Edwards proficiency is considered an asset
    Strong planning and organizational skills
    Attention to detail
    Flexibility  adaptation in a fast-paced work environment
    Minimum Formal Education Required: High School Diploma  Preferred  certificate or diploma in office or business administration
    Minimum Experience Required: 2 years in an administrative role.  Preference will be given to candidates with previous safety administrative experience
    Minimum Formal Education Required: Post-Secondary Diploma/Certificate  Post secondary certification from an accredited college, university or technical institution in Environmental Health and Safety
    Professional Designation: Required  CSO  Construction Safety Officer is considered an asset
    Minimum Experience Required: 1-3 years  In an industrial, maintenance and/or construction environment
