Job Description:
Prairie Pride Natural Foods Ltd. is the primary poultry processor in Saskatoon, SK., exporting their product to over 20 different countries. Operating one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Canada, Prairie Pride is dedicated to the promotion and sale of locally raised and processed poultry products, proudly sourcing all live product from Saskatchewan. Prairie Pride is currently seeking an experienced poultry preparer to join their dedicated team of production specialists. The successful candidate will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health, dental, disability, AD&D and life insurance, upon the completion of a probationary period.
Duties & Skills Requirement:
- Trim defects and inspect pathology of birds for production
- Manually hang birds on sorting line (23 birds per minute)
- Remove pieces of bone and cartilage from boneless products using knife
- Pack product into boxes and onto trays according to appropriate specifications
- Tie legs and wings on Deli birds
- Keep working area clear and free of debris
- Adhere to health and safety codes of conduct
- Ability to carry out repetitive tasks
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Strong constitution
- Other duties as required
