Description

Under the supervision of the Home Visiting Supervisor, will become part of a team of Home Visitors working to provide in-home support to vulnerable children & families in Yorkton.
Responsibilities:
Establishing and maintaining a trusting relationship with families by providing continuous family support through home visiting
Assisting families in developing their own goals, objectives and activities that best meet the needs of the family
Maintaining accurate records of home visits
Assisting families in the referral process to other existing agency programs
Computerized data collection
Accountable to SIGN
Support KidsFirst program principles
Qualifications:
Some knowledge of resources and programs available in the community
Valid driver's license and the use of own vehicle to provide transportation for families
Grade 12 education or equivalent
Understand confidentiality policies
Willing to support families from a variety of cultural backgrounds
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Belief in a strength-based approach
The ability to work flexible hours
