Description

The Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA) is seeking an Executive Director (ED). The ED reports to the SASLPA council and will provide leadership and managerial skills to enable SASLPA to fulfill its role as a regulatory body.
SASLPAs mission is to serve and protect the people of Saskatchewan by regulating and ensuring the competent ethical practice of audiologists and speech-language pathologists in the province. The ED will provide administrative and professional support to the Council, its committees and the membership through:
    Leading the development and implementation of annual objectives and strategic planning activities for SASLPA;
    Taking a lead role in the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures and guidelines that are congruent with SASLPA legislation as well as with related provincial and federal legislation;
    Assuming duties and assignments in relation to the management of correspondence, drafting information for Association reports, proposals, briefs, position papers and research;
    Act as a non-voting ex-officio member of council and attend all meetings of Council as well as other committee meetings as may be required to meet the duties and responsibilities of the position

Minimum Qualifications:
    Graduate of a recognized post-secondary institution and/or three years managerial experience;
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and work independently;
    Experience with policy development;
    Familiarity with regulatory legislation and its applications
