Description

Are you looking for full-time employment with regular working hours? If you are physically fit, have a grade 12 diploma and are prepared to travel or temporarily relocate if necessary to attend trade school as part of an apprenticeship program, you could be the employee we are looking for!

The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 250 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services. FCL invites applications for the position of Gas Fitter Apprentice in Swift Current.

Responsibilities include:
1.To promote the sale and use of Co-op Propane.
2.To deal with all retail personnel, customers and co-workers in a helpful and respectful manner.
3.To take necessary training as part of an apprenticeship program to obtain a gas license.
4.To apprentice under licensed gas fitter to accept, schedule and carry out service/installation orders from retail Co-op, retail members and FCL direct accounts.
5.Work overtime when required to complete regular scheduled service. Also be prepared to respond to emergency service calls on evenings and weekends on short notice.
6.To ensure all necessary preventative maintenance procedures are carried out on the service vehicle, plus maintain all tools and equipment in safe working order and to report any problem areas to the supervisor.
7.To perform other duties as assigned.

Must hold a valid Class 3A license, or be able to acquire one, and have a safe driving record. Plumbers also welcome to apply.
