The primary purposes of the Associate Vice-President, Operational Risk position are to provide expertise to Concentra in operational risk management; and lead, implement and sustain an operational risk management program for Concentra.

Key Outcomes:
As a member of the Oversight team , the AVP, Operational Risk will develop and maintain the business relevance of the operational risk management program by facilitating development, reviews and enhancements to the operational risk framework and operational risk policies on a regular basis.  This role will also be responsible for developing and leading the companys operational risk maturity model; developing and enhancing standard operational risk program reporting, processes and tools; and aligning the operational risk program to the enterprise risk management program.

This position will also oversee the organizational operational risk profile by monitoring, reviewing and challenging the conclusions/actions from business unit processes. You will also review and provide independent challenge to business units. This position will facilitate business unit workshops designed to profile business unit operational risk, and provide support to business units. You will analyze information to identify and interpret systemic operational risk issues and links to underlying causes, connections and implications enterprise-wide.  

The AVP Operational Risk will deliver timely, accurate and informative operational risk reporting to support governance and business decisions by reporting the companys operational risk profile to the management Operational Risk Committee and Board of Directors and developing comprehensive operational risk messages to inform business decision makers of operational risk levels.
