Description

Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS) is a charitable, not-for-profit organization generously supported by government, corporate and individual donors.  Our 24/7 emergency helicopter air ambulance service provides time, hope and life-saving transport to critically ill and injured patients.  Recognized as leaders in critical care medicine, our team of professionals excel in patient care, rapid transport, emergency medical training and education.  

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is a full time position designed to assist the Regina Base as an active and essential member of the STARS Base Team.  The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer safely and effectively maintains STARS aircraft to the applicable Transport Canada standards of airworthiness.

As a top candidate for this role your experience includes, attaining current knowledge of Transport Canada regulations and required compliance, maintenance duties in accordance with company maintenance Control and Policy Manuals, maintenance activities, component certification verification and engineering documentation. You monitor aircraft system performance data and recommend actions for improvement and implement engineering modifications and retrofits to a fleet in accordance with OEM service bulletins and other Transport Canada approved data.   As a champion for your organization you act as a technical liaison, function as a member of your team and participate in public relation activities.

You have a minimum of three years progressive experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Medium Helicopter Experience and Turbine Engine Experience.  You have a current M1 or M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license and a post-secondary Technical Diploma (or equivalent).  It is an asset to have endorsements in: BK117 Airframe, and Lycoming LTS101-750-B2 Engine.  You live in or are willing to relocate to Regina, Saskatchewan.
