Responsibilities:
Perform brake, safety, and PM inspections.
Complete work orders legibly and accurately.
Perform on road repairs/service calls as required.
Perform defect repairs as required.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Adhere to all First Student policies and procedures.
Comply with Safety & Health regulations in the workplace.
Maintain required tools for the job & submit tool inventory annually.
Other duties as assigned by Shop Supervisor.
After hours/on-call responsibilities as required.
Experience & Knowledge
Must be Apprentice Level 3 or higher
Valid Drivers License
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a valid Class A Mechanics License (T & S designation)
Experience with computers an asset
Willingness to work with others
Mechanically minded and safety conscious
Must be flexible
Working Conditions:
Garage environment and on road repairs as needed
Involves a 8 hour shift between the operating hours of 5:45am and 11:00 pm
