Program Officer, Trades & Industrial

The SIIT Trades and Industrial (T&I) department provides an extensive range of construction trade and related industrial programming throughout Saskatchewan. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to provide administration functions in the T&I department in Saskatoon, SK. This is a full-time term position.
Duties:
Work closely with T&I department staff to facilitate the development and regulation of internal and external documentation that is required to enable on-going delivery of training programs.
Provide professional administration support to the T&I department including generating purchase orders, photocopying, student enquiries, and records management.
Support the activities of the T&I department by completing work with databases, spreadsheets and content management systems to compile and communicate information regarding program outcomes, trends and related reporting.
Assist in student recruitment activities.
Manage the assigned department workflow under tight deadlines and competing priorities.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 plus certification from a recognized office or business administration program with related office work experience.
A basic understanding of the trades and industrial sector through trade training or construction work experience is considered an asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent hands-on knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
Task-oriented with good attention to detail and analytic abilities.
Capable of working cooperatively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to show initiative without specific direction.
Location:The position is based on the 7th Floor of the SIIT Saskatoon Campus.
