The Saskatchewan Registered Nurses' Association (SRNA), is seeking to fill a permanent full-time position - Nursing Advisor, Practice.
The Nursing Advisor, Practice will provide research, writing, and editorial leadership for SRNA documents; integrate SRNA communication, policy and nursing activities with membership initiatives; lead, develop, coordinate, evaluate and review plans, policies, legislation, polls, indicators, and implementation strategies related to nursing practice; and engage in qualitative and quantitative research as needed. As needed, the Nursing Advisor, Practice will provide confidential advice, information and resources to individual and groups of registered nurses regarding professional practice issues. The Nursing Advisor, Practice will represent SRNA on local, provincial, national and international committees of key stakeholders.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Current eligibility for registration with the SRNA
Masters degree in a related field
Masters degree in-progress will be considered
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member
Proficiency in Windows-based computer software applications
Demonstrated ability to communicate in verbal and written context
Organizational skills, effectively prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage programs and projects
Broad knowledge of policy process in a variety of settings including regulatory bodies and government
High level of capability in areas of analysis, research and problem solving
Respectful of confidentiality and of the other requirements inherent within the role of representing the SRNA
