Sunrise Health Region has an opening for a
Permanent Part Time Emergency Medical Technician
With Primary Health in Canora, SK
Job Summary:
EMTs report to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse/Facility Manager.  EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care.  They assist in cooperation with the operations of the facilities they serve within the Sunrise Health Region.  EMTs working in Hospitals, Health Centers or any other Sunrise Health facility across Sunrise Health Region work in a supra-numary capacity.  They may work in many departments within these facilities.  EMTs shall abide by the Sunrise Health Region and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications/Experience:
    Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    CMA Accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT) level
    CPR-HCP (Level C)
    Clean Drivers Abstract
    EMT (PCP) certificate from an approved educational institute
    GAP Training to NOCP 2011 Standards
    International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Basic
    Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP)
    Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level
    Valid Class 4 drivers license
    Ability to respond to all clients medical injuries and illnesses

Hours of Work:
    7 Shifts of 12 Hours in a 4 Week Rotation
    Nights

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

Salary and benefits in accordance with the SAHO/Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan Collective Agreement governing the position and corresponding to education and previous experience.
