We are currently seeking to engage a highly capable Survey Project Manager to be based out of our Saskatoon office. As the successful candidate, you will provide daily management of large multi-crew projects, technical leadership to on-site survey staff and oversee the handling of survey equipment. Your responsibilities will include resolving issues relating to the on-site performance of survey crews, liaising with key clients field supervisors, and ensuring that projects are operating smoothly and efficiently at satisfactory productivity and quality levels. Mentorship of new and junior employees is also a key part of this role and our organization. This position is based primarily in the office and will require occasional site visits.
Requirements:
Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology with a Bachelors degree in Geomatics Engineering being preferred
10 or more years of progressive experience in a survey office environment, preferably working on small and large scale industrial and natural resource based projects
Minimum of 5 years as a team leader of at least 10 staff
Experience with underground mining surveying considered an asset
Registration (or eligibility to register) as a Saskatchewan Land Surveyor (S.L.S.), Professional Geomatics Engineer (P.Eng.) or Survey Technologist considered a strong asset
Excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrates leadership of a safety culture
Ability to work shifts and willingness to work in remote locations for a long period of time or fly in, fly out rotation
Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the Saskatoon area
