Description

Kitsaki Projects Limited Partnership (KPLP) is growing and currently seeking an experienced Safety Officer. This position will report to the KPLP Manager in the community of La Ronge.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor workplace activities to ensure that workers comply with company policies and government safety regulations
- Develop and Implement Safety Policies
- Inspect interior and exterior work areas to ensure company safety policies are being followed
- Be able to conduct Accident Investigation Reports
- Be able to Train and Coach employees on numerous safety topics
- Be familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, includes reviewing and implementing
- Ensure work practices and equipment meets or exceeds health and safety standards
- Other related and administrative duties as required

Requirements:
- NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) Credentials
- Saskatchewan CSTS, WHMIS
- 5-10 years of experience as Safety Officer
- Supervisory experience preferred
- First Aid and CPR
- Demonstrate ability to foster collaborative relationship within a diverse workforce, have excellent organizational skills and must be willing to work flexible hours
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills are an absolute requirement
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access)
- Ability to work in a safe manner
- Ability to meet or exceed construction schedules
- A valid driver's license & Drivers Abstract
