Description

Leading Thunderbird Lodge is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to fill the position of Outpatient Program Coordinator.

The Outpatient Program Coordinator is responsible to facilitating a 12 week community based addiction treatment program for the members of the File Hills Qu?Appelle and Touchwood Agency Tribal Councils.  The 12 week program is based on the Matrix model and grounded with local First Nation cultural teachings.

The Outpatient Program Coordinator must be knowledgeable in the area of addictions, mental health and First Nation?s culture, and have the ability to travel to local host First Nation communities in the evenings to facilitate the program.  The Program Coordinator must be a mature, responsible and self motivated individual and role model a healthy addictions free lifestyle.  

Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor the successful candidate will have:

-    Certificate/Diploma/Degree in addiction studies, social work or a combination of equivalent education and experience
-    Must have or be able to obtain certification/affiliation with professional body
-    Experience in addiction counselling, mental health, group facilitation, public presentation, assessment, planning, and referral of clients
-    Be able to work independently
-    Create teams and build strong relationships with key community members
-    Knowledge of community self help groups such as AA, Al-non, NA, etc.
-    Possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan driver?s license
