POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a leader in the operational procurement team. Here you will demonstrate your knowledge in the procurement life cycle and how it impacts the success of our Saskatchewan operations.
In this role you will join a diverse team of professionals responsible for supporting Camecos Northern Saskatchewan operations and Saskatoon corporate office for all supply chain management (SCM) requirements. You will source and conduct RFQ's/RFP's for a range of materials, equipment and services required and play a key role by interacting with various internal and external stakeholders. You will be a valuable member of the team contributing to the creation of procurement plans, supervising staff, as well as participating in continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Your regular work will include generating purchase orders using SAP and facilitating the resolution of blocked invoices in a timely manner to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
A bachelor degree in business, commerce, or in a related field
Seven years of experience in the SCM field
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Assets:
Previous SAP experience
A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation
