Prairie Meats is recruiting for a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our team. The Administrative Assistant contributes to the day to day operations of the office and supports the work of management and other staff by providing support in the areas of reception, office administration, retail, production, and finance.
Duties include answering phone inquiries, upkeep of the company website, creating labels and signs for retail and production, data entry, organizing fundraisers and other reception and office administration duties. Extensive use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook will be required.
The successful candidate will have excellent business communication and problem solving skills. Time management and the ability to independently prioritize tasks are very important in this role.
Other qualifications:
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
Office Administration diploma or certificate preferred
Six to twelve months experience in a reception or administrative assistant position
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience in the retail grocery or meat industry will be considered an asset
