Murray GM Estevan is looking for someone to join their team on a 12 month maternity contract (with the potential to be made permanent). Reporting to the General Manger, the Accountant will be responsible for office management and overseeing all accounting operations.
DUTIES:
- Payroll: monitor time entry for accuracy, maintain payroll system (ADP), process semi-monthly payroll, payroll entries, RRSP remittances, administer benefit program
- Bank reconciliations and entries
- Posting daily vehicle sales
- GST/PST remittances
- Oversee accounts receivable & accounts payable functions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced knowledge in business accounting including A/P, A/R, Tax Remittances, Payroll, Benefits Plan, General Ledgers, Reconciliations, Journal Entries and Financial Statements
- Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, Accounting Software
- Great time management and organizational skills
- The ability to multitask, take self-initiative and work efficiently with little supervision
- Detail oriented, team player and reliable
- Knowledge of computers, IT and office equipment
- Payroll experience is a requirement
- Minimum of 4-5 years of accounting experience.
- Accounting/Office Education Certificate an asset
