Responsibilities:
Ability to meet guests needs, answer questions,
resolve minor issues.
Help create a positive work environment through
teamwork and cooperation.
Cash handling responsibilities.
Responsible for guest check-in/out, while
multitasking and answering telephone and directing
calls to the requested extension.
Provide callers with accurate information
regarding the facilities, rates and availability
of accommodation within the hotel.
Sell accommodation, packages and services of the
hotel to callers and maintain a conversion rate in
accordance with department standards.
Communicate creative and effective ways to
improve service levels.
Ensure that the Hotel entrances are clean and
tidy
Ensure the lobby and public washrooms are clean.
Laundry requirements as needed.
Assist with breakfast bar setup, refilling and
cleaning as needed.
Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations
when handling hazardous materials according to
MSDS.
Be fully aware of Fire and Emergency Procedures
and your role therein.
Follow Hotel grooming policy.
Qualifications:
Experience in Guest Services, with a strong
knowledge of area.
Strong communication, organizational, and up
selling skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced and multitasking
environment.
Friendly and enthusiastic.
Neat and tidy appearance.
Keen eye for detail.
Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts.
Hospitality program is a definite asset.
Bilingualism also an asset.
Strong keyboard and computer skills.
Strong telephone communication skills.
