HDCS is looking for someone to become a respite caregiver to provide support to a young individual with a cognitive disability. The respite caregiver would provide support to the individual and plan fun and appropriate outings together. Caregiver would also assist individual to teach life, social and communication skills.
Applicant must be a patient, reliable, energetic
and compassionate individual. Experience with
disabilities or in the human service field an
asset. First aid/CPR an asset.
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable
vehicle required as may be
necessary. Must provide criminal record check with
vulnerable sector completed.
Approximately 6 hours per week - 2 3hr shifts/week.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

Must live within reasonable driving distance of
Humboldt. (30-45 minutes)
