Description

Reporting to the director, HR strategy development, this full-time position is ideally based in Saskatoon, but could be located at any campus, and will require travel to all SIAST locations as needed.
The position is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing organizational development interventions and initiatives throughout the organization to improve organizational effectiveness. The organizational effectiveness (OE) consultant engages in initiatives and interventions that both inform, and are directed by, the annualized Human Resources operational strategy plan and the strategic priorities of SIAST. Initiatives include needs assessment, research, and writing, planning, coordinating, facilitating, and implementing various learning and development and leadership development initiatives for organization-wide application. The OE consultant also conducts workplace assessments and interventions with specific individual workgroups to enhance their effectiveness. The OE consultant works with human resource (HR) consultants, deans, managers and program heads to provide training, facilitation, support and guidance in organizational effectiveness. The position also works internally with the HR group and externally across the SIAST community to ensure alignment with operational and strategic priorities and support the internal OE planning process.
This position requires a post-secondary degree in human resources management, adult education or in a closely related discipline and significant experience in organization development/effectiveness, facilitation, training and development, including the use of web-based learning management tools.
