Armand Bekkatla Treatment Centre is recruiting for an Addictions Counselor Position.
The applicant will work with the existing treatment centre counseling staff in delivering a holistic, community developed alcohol recovery program.
All interested applicants need to demonstrate the following qualifications:
-A Chemical Dependency Course or equivalent
-An understanding of addictions programming and treatment programs
-Proven presentation and facilitation preparation and delivery skills
-Exceptional communication- written, verbal and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently, work well under pressure and be self motivated
-Reliable, trustworthy and discreet in order to maintain confidentiality
-Must lead a life of sobriety
-Ability to speak the Dene language and understand the culture and values
-Experience working with computers
-Ability to work as a team member
