Program Director

Electronic Products Recycling Association, Saskatchewan

Our Client, represents both brand name manufacturers and retailers of electronic products and is responsible for managing recycling and reuse programs for end of life electronics in the province. The program is mandated by the provincial government and includes recycling a wide range of electronic items.
EPRA Saskatchewan requires a Program Director to oversee the effectiveness and integrity of the program which involves some $4 to $5 million in annual expenditures.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Western Canada, the Program Director will be responsible for the day to day operation of the program and contracts with various third party vendors, including collectors, transporters, consolidators and primary processors. The position is located in Saskatchewan. Saskatoon or Regina are both practical.
Qualified candidates will be achievement-oriented team players with relevant business education and have spent at least five years in a management role. Experience in distribution, collection, logistics or operations ideally coupled with knowledge of regulated stewardship entities as well as collection networks in Saskatchewan is preferable. Dealing with provincial and municipal government and comfort in a public spokesperson role is also desirable.
Superb written, verbal and listening communication skills as well competence in the use of business office software are essential.
