Description

SuperiorRoads, along with its sister company Rite Way Mfg, are seeking a mechanical engineer to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will work with the team to develop prototypes and components for farm and industrial equipment.

As the successful applicant, you have experience in both design and its practical application, through experience on a farm or industrial setting.

You are a disciplined individual who has strong organization skills and is detailed oriented. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are able to work well in a team or independently.

Essential skills include computer literacy, the ability to distinguish colours, and the ability to speak, read and write the English language. Must have a valid drivers licence.

Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering degree, with necessary qualifications to apply for P.Eng. designation
- Hands-on experience working with large farm or industrial machinery
- Ability to use computer-assisted design system, read blueprints, prepare engineering designs, drawings and specifications
- Ability to conduct quality assurance reviews and test equipment
- Knowledge of design principles including strength of materials science and stress analysis
- Be comfortable working on the production floor
- Experience in AutoCad and 3D modelling software (preferably Inventor)
- Familiarity with metal fabrication & processing
- Familiarity with industry drafting standards
- Computer proficiency in MS Windows and Office
- Ability to multitask efficiently and respond to changes in priorities
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of standard methods & practices
