Working under the direction of the Director of Operations, manage day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. Primarily responsible for recruiting, performance management, staff relations, training & development, compensation & benefits & strategic organizational development. Be an enthusiastic team player that adheres to confidentiality & encourages compliance to legislation, regulations & policies.

Qualifications:
- must possess a Business Administration degree specializing in Human Resources or a combination of the above with a minimum of 3 years of work specific experience. Possess significant knowledge of legislation in the following areas (Indian Act, Indian Band Council Regulations, Human Rights Act, First Nation Treaties, Canada Labour Code, Treasury Board & Receiver General Financial policies, Access to Information & Privacy Act, Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, & other relevant legislation, regulations & procedures)
Possess planning, organizing & monitoring skills; team work & cooperation skills; initiative & stress management skills; effective communication skills (oral and writing) & interpersonal skills; knowledge & work experience with computers, i.e., office software applications i.e., (Excel and Word/MS Office, PowerPoint, etc.);
Possess knowledge of First Nation programs and several funding agencies; good understanding of First Nation cultures, traditions, roles & responsibilities of Chief and Council & work well with Chief, Council, Band Staff & community members
Exercise tact and diplomacy; possess a valid driver's license
