Description

EPCOR has an excellent opportunity for an Operations Manager to lead the operations of the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Regina, Saskatchewan. One (1) full-time permanent position is available.

This position will give you the opportunity to use your leadership ability, hands-on management skills and technical expertise in the area of Wastewater Treatment to provide oversight, direction and leadership to the plant operations of the existing wastewater treatment facility, as well as a new plant which is currently under construction and scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Wastewater Operations, this position is accountable for:

-Providing input to and effectively implementing EPCOR Water Canadas culture, plans, policies and direction.
-Managing a team of operations and maintenance staff which will include accountability for: recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, retention, training & development.
-Managing the operations budget.
-Ensuring all Environmental and Regulatory requirements are met or exceeded.

Qualified candidates will possess:

-A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related Water/Wastewater Technologist diploma or certificate.
-Level 4 Certification in Wastewater Treatment.
-Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible plant operations experience in a leadership/supervisory role.
-Experience with recruiting, coaching & managing the performance of employees in a unionized environment.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
