The Opportunity
Clean Harbors is currently looking for a Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter to assist with our Legacy Mine construction camp project near Bethune Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks each day and must be able to perform a full range of plumbing/gas fitting assignments such as, read and follow blue prints, material takeoff, installation of equipment and fixtures, inspect and test plumbing/gas systems, diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, knowledge of the Saskatchewan/Alberta/Canadian Building Code.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
Assemble pipe sections, tubing or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment;
Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using blueprints, trade knowledge and relevant tools;
Oversee and mentor all employees and apprentices engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly or installation of plumbing systems or components.
Key Qualifications:
Saskatchewan Journeyman Certification in Plumbing (Preference given to Red Seal Certification/Gas Fitter);
2+ years of previous plumbing/gas fitting experience;
Safety tickets an asset ( Fall Arrest, First Aid, CSTS);
High attention to detail and takes pride in workmanship.
