JOB SUMMARY:


The Specialist, Planning is accountable to provide subject matter expertise and administration of a specialized function. As a member of SaskPowers management team, this position is responsible to act as a central point of contact in the management and administration of strategic and operational functions, providing expert advice and direction that aligns with departmental and corporate goals and objectives.



MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:



        Participate in short and long term work planning for the Production and Support areas.

        Develop work schedules for the Production and Support teams.

        Evaluate resource requirements including staffing, equipment, specialty tools, production, etc.

        Maintain and enhance equipment history records system.

        Act as a resource for various applicable maintenance strategies.

        Act as a liaison with internal and external support services.

        Contribute to the development and implementation of production goals and business plans.

        Participate and contribute to a performance based team, focused on continuous improvement.

        Other related/assigned duties.
