Description

As Construction Manager with expertise in Power Transmission Construction projects, you will be a vital team member with a reputable Consulting firm working on projects throughout Saskatchewan.  

The opportunity exists for full-time or seasonal/hourly employment. Explore this opportunity now - start work in August or September!

In this role, you will:

- Provide senior construction management relating to high voltage power transmission line projects, ensuring total construction is in accordance with contract/drawings, budget, schedule, safety and policy/legislated requirements.

- Serve as on-site liaison between the client and contractors.  

- Provide technical engineering information to construction personnel and contractors to ensure projects comply with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.

- Attend daily and/or weekly on-site construction review meetings.

- Provide accurate and timely reporting as required.  

- Review and monitor all site-specific health and safety plans.

- Provide quality control and monitoring of all electrical, mechanical and civil construction work.

- Manage contracts and change management processes, i.e. change order request submittals, approval and administration.    

- Manage project billing and invoicing process to ensure timely invoice issuance and payments.

- Be willing to travel and work at project locations (~90% field work) throughout Saskatchewan.

Education: Some formal education/training in construction management, electrical/power engineering, a P.Eng or related technical designation is an asset.

Experience: 10-15 years experience related to high voltage power transmission lines, distribution and related facilities/substations.
