Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Investor Relations and Public Relations, the Director, PR and Communications is responsible for the PR and communications strategy, leading a team that executes an annual plan to further the business objectives of the company. The Director is responsible for the companys media strategy and be a key public spokesperson for the company.

The Director is responsible for the development and execution of a robust communications program to both external and internal audiences, and across multiple platforms (website, social media, print, video, etc). He/she will ensure that all messaging and communication materials are consistent with the companys brand and strategic objectives. The Director will also lead large national and local advertising campaigns.

The Director will be responsible for ensuring the Community Investment strategy is aligned with the companys brand and reputation management objectives. He/she will lead a team that helps ensure the value of the companys philanthropic investments have maximum, positive and lasting impact on the companys reputation, with measureable and reportable outcomes.

The successful candidate will be a graduate of a recognized university degree in communications, public relations, or a related field, supplemented by a minimum of 8 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in strategy development and execution of PR and corporate communications programs. The candidate will also have extensive media experience serving as a key corporate spokesperson.
