This Casual position works 10 (Ten) hour shifts, 11am-9pm and 9pm-7am shifts; or 4 (four) hour shifts 7amto 11am, shifts may include weekdays and weekends. The position is responsible for:
- providing support counselling, advocacy, information, and referrals as necessary;
- implementing services and programs provided by Southwest Crisis Services;
- general maintenance of the Safe Shelter; and
- administrative functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 or GED equivalent is required.
- One year post-secondary education or significant experience in social services field is preferred.
- An understanding of and sensitivity to issues relevant to family violence, particularly violence against women.
- Ability and desire to work well with others.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license.
Salary: $14.50/hr plus a $1.00/hr shift differential for the 9pm-7am shift.
