Description

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team for the BHP Billiton Industrial Health Clinic at the Jansen Potash Project in Saskatchewan.
The primary function of the Nurse Practitioner is to perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose health conditions. You will be responsible to work in collaboration with the Jansen Project site physicians, Nurses and EMS staff.  
Responsibilities
Provides a high level of treatment in primary care and occupational health
Provides leadership in the provision and oversees the treatment for clients by other health team members
Diagnose and discuss health conditions, prognoses, treatments and outcomes with clients
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic test within scope of practise
Perform clinical procedures within scope of practise
Prescribe treatment as required within scope of practise
Provide drug and alcohol testing as required within training guidelines
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Masters of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Certification RN (NP) is required
Current ACLS, ITLS and/or TNCC is required
A minimum of 5 years of primary care coupled with occupational health, with advanced skills in assessment, diagnosis and pharmacology
Demonstrated clinical skills in primary and emergent care
Team player and client focused, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrate excellent critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Must be eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association.
NOTE: These positions are subject to fitness for duty and alcohol and drug testing.
