Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize all aspects of Company Program
- Establish and maintain educator/school relationships
- Recruit students for Company Program
- Coordinate the recruitment, screening, placement, and coordination of volunteers
- Monitor and evaluate performance levels of volunteers
- Solicit program quality feedback
- Develop and implement recognition events
- Coordinate with staff lead on JA events
- Provide ongoing feedback regarding contents and quality of program materials
You possess:
- Ability to lead, manage and evaluate program successes
- Ability to recruit, train, coach and sustain volunteers
- Ability to motivate and manage others, i.e. volunteers and students
- Strong organizational and analytical skills and are detail-oriented
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Team player skills
- Proficient computer skills (email, excel, Microsoft work, other systems)
- Experience in delivering quality programs and achieving strategic outcomes
- Experience with entrepreneurship
- Experience working with youth
- Direct experience with JA - asset
- Strong network within the Saskatchewan business community - asset
- A positive attitude and commitment to enhance JA
- Creativity/innovation to enhance the vision of JA
Qualifications:
- College or university degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in an education-related environment is an asset
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is an asset
The Company Program Director reports to the President / CEO and is a half-time flexible contract position (approximately 20 hours per week) & includes a minimum of one night a week for 3 hours. The contract runs from September 15, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
