This position is located in Cut Knife, Sk. The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance of streets, sidewalks, landfill sites, parks, property, water & sewer system and any other tasks as may be required.
Preference will be given to those candidates who have the following experience and/or certification:
Class 2 Water Treatment and Distribution and Class 1 Wastewater Treatment.
Ability to operate: a Motor Grader, a Bobcat Skid Steer and a 3 Ton Truck.
The successful candidate must live in the community and have at least a grade 12 education. Grade 12 is the minimum requirement to obtain the required certification. The Town of Cut Knife is prepared to provide training for this certification to the right applicant should he/she not already have it.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with lunch off from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
In addition to the regular work schedule listed above there is a "standby" requirement for alternating weekends and weekday evenings on a week on/week off basis, and to cover standby during other employees vacations. Standby requires that the employee that is on call remain close to home to be available in the event of an emergency.
Wages & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $20.00 and $25.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. The applicant who has less experience in the listed qualifications and/or does not hold the required certification can expect to start at the lowest end of the salary range. Employees are paid monthly with an advance at mid-month.
