SIIT is looking to fill a casual office support clerk position in the Battlefords Industrial Career Centre. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Casual Office Support Clerk will be responsible for performing receptionist and minor administrative duties.

Duties:
Traditional office support duties such as typing, assisting the public with inquiries, filing, etc.
Answering and directing incoming calls, receiving visitors, and relaying messages
Processing of incoming and outgoing correspondence/documents and courier packages
Assisting clients with forms and inquiries
Set up interviews/appointments for project participants
Maintain and update database as needed
Maintain computer and paper files as requested
Other office duties as required

Qualifications:
Graduate of a recognized secretarial program or related post-secondary experience
A working knowledge of equipment such as a switchboard terminal, mailing equipment, photocopier, and facsimile
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Punctual and reliable
Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access as well as internet and email
Excellent telephone communication skills, a pleasant disposition and appearance are necessary in the daily meeting of the public
Knowledge of a First Nations language or culture is considered an asset
