The company has a career opportunity for qualified applicants at PotashCorp Lanigan, located 100km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Training Manager is responsible for the overall effective management of the site training program and provides leadership and direction for the comprehensive, sustainable training effort at Lanigan Division. The Training Manger is also responsible for facilitating and coordinating a training and development system that ensures that Lanigan Division will meet government and company regulations, policies, guidelines and objectives while emphasizing employee safety, product quality, cost effectiveness and environmental sensitivity. This position works closely with Organization and Talent Development to achieve Corporate training objectives and the alignment of training among Potash Divisions.
The successful applicant will have at least 6 - 8 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably underground mining or mill processing, with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of teaching/training experience. A high school diploma supplemented by a certificate in Adult Learning would comprise the typical educational requirements for this position. Significant training and adult education experience supplemented by appropriate professional development may be considered as equivalent. The incumbent will have strong leadership skills and be knowledgeable of government regulations, training standards/requirements for industrial mobile equipment, instructional design and adult learning.
The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check. All safety sensitive positions require a substance test in accordance with PotashCorp policy.
