Senior Technicians Responsible for completing day to day operations within a specific part of the hog production unit (ie. breeding, farrowing, nursery). Senior Technicians can complete activities relating to their area of the unit, working without direct supervision. Working along with and under the guidance of the unit manager or managers, the senior technician will assist with the supervision and training of more junior staff members in their area of the barn. Senior Technicians are more able to identify and deal with animal health and farm maintenance issues as well as being involved more directly with activities like management of farm supplies (e.g. Feed).
