Position Summary: Industrial Millwright maintains, calibrate, adjust and install industrial equipment.
Position Responsibilities: The Industrial Mechanics will have the direct accountability for troubleshooting, repairing equipment in the plant under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Trouble shooting/repairs/installations of processing equipment to allow for efficient repair/replacement results.
Carry out oral/printed work requests and apply corrective measures in a timely fashion.
Perform PM and regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labor.
Communicate daily repair activity with Maintenance team, Production etc.
Fulfill all Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, WHIMS, MSDS.
Maintain a pro-active preventive maintenance program
Should be able to work independently or in a team environment.
Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers specifications.
Shift work as required. Flexible work schedule.
Other assignments as required, not limited to the above.
Required Experience and Education:
Journeyman Millwright and/or Dual Ticket
3 to 5 years of experience in a high speed packaging or food environment
Experience with food processing, CFIA, HACCP, O H & S, Continuous Improvement Process would be an asset.
Troubleshooting Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Judgment and Decision- Making- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge / Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
