The Health Promotion Specialist is responsible for the delivery and support of activities to engage communities in the Heart and Stroke Foundations strategic mission priorities. The incumbent will focus their efforts on fostering community engagement on key issues related to the HSF strategic priorities in health promotion, and on supporting communities to mobilize and advocate for healthy changes.
As part of the Mission Team, the incumbent will be assigned to the South Saskatchewan region, to deliver and support activities that engage communities for increased impact on HSFs mission. The incumbent will help develop and implement an annual plan that reflects the provincial and national mission priorities and responds to regional and local needs.
The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, generally from Monday to Friday and will be based out of the Saskatoon office with coverage of the South Saskatchewan Region. Flexibility will be required for events, meetings and overnight travel outside of regular business hours.
